Mrs. Tillie Joseph, 73, a former resident of this city, and mother of Mrs. Ben Kaplan, 608 South Sixth street, died at Kansas City, Mo. May 27, of an illness believed to have been sleeping sickness. Mrs. Joseph slept ten days previous to her death.
She moved to Kansas City about 18 years ago after a residence here of about eight years. Mrs. Joseph is the mother of Herman Joseph, clown with the Barnum and Bailey circus and a sister of Arthur Raskter, of North Carolina, former editor. Eight children survive her. Funeral services were held Sunday in Kansas City, Mrs. Kaplan attending the services.
