Mrs. George Brousseau Dies at Family Home Last Week
Mrs. George Brousseau, a resident of Marion for many years, and who had been in poor health for some time, died Wednesday of last week, following a serious illness of about two days. Funeral services were held from the residence, 1235 Fourteenth street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in charge of Rev. E.A. Baker. The interment was in the family lot in Oak Shade.
Inez Woodward was born at National, Iowa, Sept. 24, 1857, and was married Sept. 24, 1884, to George Brousseau. The first home was in Cedar Rapids, moving from there to Decorah and coming to Marion June 10, 1890, which has since been the family home.
Mr. Brousseau and an infant daughter preceded her in death. There are four living children, Robert and George Brousseau at home; Mrs. Beatrice Haines of LaGrande, Oregon, and Hebert M. Brousseau of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Mrs. Brousseau was a member of the Presbyterian church and of Robert Mitchell Woman's Relief corps.
