I have transcribed his death notice and am aware of the misspelling of his name. Please add to his bio:
The Marion Weekly Sentinel Thursday December 5, 1918
Clinton[sic] Jay Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Scott, died of influenza, Sunday morning after a brief illness. He was the second member of the high school to be taken by the dread epidemic and was fourteen years of age. His parents have the sympathy of many friends in the loss of this cheery young lad, who had brightened the home for a few years. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home, six miles northeast of the city, with the Rev. Yeager in charge. Interment was in the Prairie Chapel cemetery.
