Marjorie L. (Ward) Morse, 82, of Marion, IA, died on June 19, 2018 at St Luke's Hospital Cedar Rapids, IA. She died suddenly. We would put why but not exactly sure. She battled Multiple Sclerosis for many years with the aid of prayer, Shaklee and pure stubbornness she stayed ahead of it for many years. These last years had taken a real toll and those who knew her know that she was weak and tired in general. She recently had gotten a Urinary Tract Infection that made her extremely weak and tired.

Marjorie Lee Ward was born on April 9, 1936 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Being the middle daughter of Walter and Ruth (Collister) Ward. She had Dorothy as an older Sister and Alyce as a younger sibling. She grew up in Delmar, Iowa, and graduated from Delmar High School after just turning 17. She and cousin Clarice took the train to Omaha Nebraska to learn how to a teletype. She often joked this was the first computers. She married Cleve Morse June 6, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Marjorie thought the only place in the world one should live was Iowa.

Marjorie didn't want a funeral service for this lifetime but wants everyone to celebrate in Heaven with her after Jesus 2nd coming. The family will do an informal get together at the Seventh Day Adventist Church to celebrate her life.

In her early 20's Marjorie worked for Dr. Russell H. Anthony(Veterinarian), Wilson Foods and Rockwell Collins. After children she worked full time at being mom, later years being a grandma and for the last 50 years a prayer warrior. Her biggest concern is where to meet everyone in Heaven.

She is survived by her beloved sweet sister, Alyce (Carl) Jenkins of Cedar Falls, IA. Her and Cleve's children Julie Morse, Rebekah (Clayton)Morse-Campbell, Dave (Jen) Morse, Donald Morse and Monica Morse, four precious grandchildren Andrew & DeMarcus Stokes (mother Dorothy Stokes) and Brandon & Dylan Morse. Cherished nephew Thomas Jenkins. 2nd Cousin Roberta Schwartz was a treasure to Marjorie. Two Sister-in-laws Imogene Kelly, Judith Gaal and Brother in Law Victor Morse who were still in her prayers. Marjorie prayed for so many that they can NOT all be listed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and recently her older sister Dorothy Ward, who she missed daily.

Marjorie for 40 years especially enjoyed working outside in her yard on West Valley Dr. It didn't matter if she was mowing, planting flowers, plucking flowers, or listening to the birds say good night to each other. God's outside masterpiece brought her great joy. She loved to sit on the porch and watch for her kids and grandkids to come home. Clean folded laundry brought her great satisfaction (Don liked to make the getting it "clean" a challenge) and made her feel like she was blessing those whose laundry crossed her path.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church, Cedar Rapids, IA.
