OBITUARY.
WILLIAM DUNCAN.
The community was startled to hear within the last day or two, of the death of a man well known among the railroad employes of this city. Mr. Duncan was taken some weeks ago with inflammation of the brain, and died Monday, Dec. 28, at Peoria, Ill. His wife was at his bedside during his last hours and did all that could be done for her husband's recovery. Mrs. Duncan speaks in the highest terms of praise for the unwavering attention of the citizens of Peoria, and especially of the men in his own calling who were unceasing in their efforts to assist the widow in her sad labor of love. The remains were brought to this city on Wednesday night of last week, and the funeral held from the home of Henry Sutzin, Mrs. Duncan's father, on Thursday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. John Westley Geiger, the pastor of the family.
