The Marion Register Monday October 29, 1900
Willie, son of Mrs. Anna Duncan, died, after a short illness Friday. The funeral services were held at the family home on west 8th avenue, Sunday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Kiezer, pastor of the Congregational church. The church choir, Messrs. George W. Toms and Dr. Bertha Lillie and Miss Bessie Johnson. The pall bearers were Carl Kendall, Bert Knowlton, Nat Starbuck and Dr. Dow. The boy's father died a few years ago. He was the only child and had many friends. One by one the young as well as the middle aged and the old pass to the other shore.
