GRIFFEN STEWART TITUS.
Griffen Stewart Titus, 59, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Townley, Perry, Ia., after an 18 months' illness from heart disease.
Deceased was born Dec. 2, 1867, at Rockford, Ill., where he grew to manhood. He married Susie E. Francis, at Marion, Ia., Sept. 6, 1892. Mr. Titus was employed for a number of years by the Illinois Central railroad. For the last four years he had been farming northwest of Waterloo, until ill health forced him to retire.
Surviving besides his widow and daughter, Mrs. Townley, are four other children, Mrs. Harold Miller, and Miss Mary Titus, 1212 Sixth street west, and Stewart Titus, all of Waterloo, and Cecil S. Titus, Peorial, Ill.
Funeral services will be Sunday morning at Perry, with burial in the family lot at Marion.
