Died Early Sunday
Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock, death released Jennie Mae Scott of 309 Sixteenth street, from a long illness. She was the daughter of William Walter and Jennie Lucore Scott and was born in Marion on May 17, 1902, and had spent her entire life in this city. Surviving are her mother, and a brother, William E. Scott, both of Marion. Her father died in 1932, and a brother, Arthur Edward, died in 1921.
Miss Scott was for a number of years a clerk in the Shumack & Sebern store here. She was a member of the local Presbyterian church.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning from the Yocom chapel at ten o'clock, with Dr. A. W. Henke, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. Pallbearers were W.B. Sebern, Will Ryan, Frank Gano, and John Coons. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
