OBITUARY.
Mrs. Sarah Ellen Davenport was born at Newark, N.J. July 25, 1835 and died in Marion, Iowa Nov. 3, 1917, age 82 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was married to Charles R. Ryerson in July 3, 1855 in Newark, N.J. To this union ten children were born, Alferd Wesley, Vincent and David have died. The surviving children are Mrs. Lillie Rees of Steward, Ills., Mrs. Rozena Pipe of Spearfish, S. Dakota, Oscar Ryerson of Uppervill, Va., Casious Ryerson of Scarboro, Ills, Mrs. Carrie Fuestman of Salem, Oregon, Mrs. Elsie Mulling of Marion, Iowa, there are two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Cradduck of Meadow Valley, Wis. and Mrs. Nancy Leonard of Canton, N.J. there are nine grand children and four great grandchildren. She united with the Methodist church when sixteen years of age and was a member up to the time of her death. Mr. Ryerson died Feb. 27, 1887, and the following spring she with her children moved to Marion, Iowa, where she died Nov. 3, 1917.
