DEATHS
Mrs. Starry's Funeral
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice McShane Starry were held in the Beatty chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday conducted by the Rev. E. Winslow Brown. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion.
Mrs. Starry was the eldest daughter of Jacob and Mary McShane and was born in Linn county Oct. 6, 1852. She was united in marriage to Samuel E. Starry in July, 1873. To this union was born one daughter, Inez, who died at the age of 7. Mr. Starry died in October, 1904, and following his death Mrs. Starry made Chicago her home for several years, returning in 1911 to Cedar Rapids where she resided since. She died at her home, 1326 Second avenue SE, Aug. 19, after a lingering illness. Four brothers and a sister survive her.
