Grace M. Jonse, 91, of 1000 Blairs Ferry Road NE, a longtime Marion resident, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness.
Born July 18, 1892, at Sioux City, she married A. Ray Jones on April 12, 1911, at Cedar Rapids. He died in 1953. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Marion and the West Marion Garden Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Josephine Haines of Marion and Faye Dunn of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held Friday by the Rev. Jay A. Miller of First United Presbyterian Church, Marion. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday....
