The Marion Register Wednesday January 31, 1894
Frank J. Reinheimer was born near Marion, Feb. 21, 1867, and finished his earthly life Jan. 26, 1894. He was the son of Valentine and Paulina Reinheimer, and one of nine children. One sister died in infancy, three brothers and four sisters being present at the service. Frank, as he was familiarly called was a tinsmith by trade having been a valued employe of Mr. Rob. Smythe and a member of the Marion Fire department for five years. Two years ago the disease that finally closed his life began its insidious attack. It worked slowly, imperceptibly, certainly. Manly vigor refused to yield and the young man kept at work most of the time until June last when he was forced to desist. A strong will, the best medical skill, and assiduous care failed, and he worn out in his battle for life fell asleep. His sun went down ere it was yet noon. December in the almanac of his life displaced June and frosted to the roots all earthly hope.
Industrious, warmhearted, energetic, patient Frank is gone, but absence is not ruin and out of shattered earthly plans the better ones of heaven may come.
The funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home, conducted by Rev. J.G. Van Ness.
