Death notice from the Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette on Saturday December 20, 1919, page 2:
Frank J. Bures, for several years assistant chief clerk in the master mechanic's office at the Rock Island shops, died at 7:30 p.m. yesterday at his home, 621 Eighteenth avenue, following an illness of about a year's duration. He was 32 years old and is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Bures, his wife, two sons, Frank jr., and CHarles, on brother, Louis R. Mr. Bures was a member of Prokop Velky No. 7, Z.C.B.J. and of the Foresters of America. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at the Z.C.B.J. hall conducted by Speaker J.J. Hajek. Burial will be in Bohemian National cemetery.
