The funeral of the late Thomas Farmer was held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the family residence. The services were conducted by Rev. Henry Alford Porter of the First Baptist church. A large number of friends of the deceased attended the services, thus paying a last tribute of respect to his memory. Members of Crescent lodge No. 25, A.F. & A.M. attended in a body. In the afternoon the remains were taken to the union passenger station, escorted by the pall bearers, Messrs. J. White, T. Manwell, Joseph Kroulik, Hugh Ross, McKee, G.S. Petit and HEnry Erffmyer, all members of Crescent lodge, and the entire police department in uniform. The funeral party left at 3 o'clock over the Northwestern for West Bend, Wis., the old home of the deceased, where the interment will take place. Dr. C.B> Whelpley of Crescent lodge was a member of the funeral party and on arrival at the destination will turn the remains over to the Masonic fraternity there. The elder son, Mannie Farmer, arrived in the afternoon from Omaha, and accompanied the funeral party.
