Mary B. Stepanek, 90, of 278 24th Ave. SW, died Tuesday in Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Janeba-Kuba Funeral Home West, where the family will greet friends after 9:30 a.m. Friday. Burial: Czech National Cemetery.
Survivors (omitted for privacy).
She was preceded in death by a daughter, her parents, a sister and a son in law.
Born Sept. 14, 1902, in Rodotin, Czechoslovakia, she came to the United State in 1905, and had since resided in Cedar Rapids. She was employed at Wilson packing plant and had been with the public school lunch program for several years. She married Frank W. Stepanek on Feb. 7, 1922, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1965. She was a member of Western Fraternal Life Associatoin Karel IV Lodge 13 and Lodge 388 of CSA.
The Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Memorial may be made to Camp Courageous or a charity of the donor's choice.
