Albert Hach Drops Dead of Heart Failure
Albert Hach, employed at the packing house and a long time resident of this city dropped dead at Fourteenth avenue and South Second street shortly after 11 o'clock this forenoon from heart failure. Cononer David King was summoned and had the body removed to the Lesinger undertaking rooms.
Mr. Hach had been in his usual good health during the morning. His brother, Charles Hach of Clutier, arrived in the city this morning and was visiting with him. Peter Hach, another brother residing in this city also had talked to him and he appeared to be as jovial as usual.
They left him for a short time and on their return he was dead. Others who had talked with him state that a short time before he died he had complained of not feeling very well but they had no thought that it was anything serious. He had not been subject to heart trouble, at least it was not known to his relatives, and his sudden death was a great surprise.
Mr. Hach was born in the old country and when a young man came with his parents to Tama county where his mother, Mrs. Anna Hach still lives being past 80 years old. About 1876 he moved to Cedar Rapids and had been a resident of this city since. His wife died several years ago and besides his two brothers he is survived by three daughters: Lottie Kulha, Emma Hach and Lillian Kubias; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Anderle and Mrs. Barbara Kuhn. He was 61 years of age.
