Chester S. Knight, 92, formerly of 990 26th St. Marion, died Monday night in a Cedar Rapids hospital. Mr. Knight had lived at Crestview Care Center for the last three years.
Born May 11, 1885, in Marion, he was married to Luverne Smith Jan. 1, 1910, in Marion. Mr. Knight farmed in Minnesota. After his retirement he moved back to Marion. He was a member of Christian Alliance Church and had been active in the Men's Christian Association for many years.
Surviving are a son, Wesley Knight, Richmont, Minn; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Widstrand, Hibbing, Minn, and Mrs. Marvin Beltz, Cedar Rapids, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Roy Sell, Cedar Rapids.
Services 2 pm Thursday at Baxter Memorial Chapel by the Rev Don R Martin Burial Oak Shade Cemetery Friends may call at the chapel from 1 to 9 pm Wednesday and 9 am to 1 30 pm Thursday
