Services Friday for Luverne Knight, 84
Luverne Edith Knight, 84, of 990 Twenty-sixth street, wife of Chester S. Knight, died early Tuesday at a Cedar Rapids hospital, where she had been a patient for the last three weeks.
She was born June 4, 1889, at Olin, and was married to Chester Knight Jan. 1, 1910, in Marion. They lived in Marion for the last 14 years, moving from Hibbing, Minn. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance church of Cedar Rapids, and was a 4-H leader with a 50-year pin.
Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Paul Widstrand, of Hibbing, Minn., and Mrs. Marvin Beltz of Cedar Rapids, and one son, Wesley Knight of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: Baxter Memorial chapel in Marion Friday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Lyle W. Lee. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after [?] Thursday. The casket will not be open after the service.
