The Marion Register Tuesday February 15, 1910
Leonard Stowe died at his residence on north 10th street Saturday morning of pneumonia, aged 86[sic]. He was the last one of the Marion merchants who was in business when the writer located here in September 1864 to pass to the beyond. He was a native of New Hampshire. His wife, and daughter, Mrs. Tyler Hewett[sic] survive The funeral services were held at the residence yesterday afternoon. Sermon by Rev. S.R. Beatty pastor of the Methodist church.
