Services for William Caraway, who died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Thursday night, were held in the Yocom chapel Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Go?? officiating.
Coming to Marion about 10 years ago, when he retired from farming, he was born in November 1874, near Mt. Vernon. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Caraway. He never married.
Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Archie Caraway, Merle Caraway, Earl Caraway and Ralph Duncan.
He is survived by two brothers, Harry and Higgins, both of Mt. Vernon and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Hoover of Martelle.
