H.F. Maxson, 66, Died Tuesday After A Short Illness
Henry Franklin Maxson, retired farmer and resident of Marion for 27 years, died Tuesday morning, February 6, at 1:10 at a Cedar Rapids hospital, following a short illness.
He was born at Trenton, Mo., April 14, 1874, to John Edger and Dorothy Clemens Maxson and was married there August 27, 1902, to Laura Beall, who survives together with their seven children, Ralph E., Eugene, Robert and Mrs. Lola May Rion of Marion, Mrs. Eva Staab of Lisbon, Donald of Delano, California, and Harold of Pasadena, California. Also there are five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Bushlong of St. Joseph and Mrs. T.V. Murphy of Chicago, and three brothers, Walter of Trenton, Mo., Herbert of North Platte, Nebr., and Dean of Henley, Mo.
Mr. Maxson joined the Baptist church at Trenton, Mo., and his funeral will be this Thursday afternoon from the Yocom chapel, with the Rev. L.W. Inman in charge. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
