Homer Flanagan, Retired Railroad Employe, Dead
Homer Flanagan, 84, formerly of Oelwein, died in a local hospital at 7 p.m. Saturday after an illness of several months. He had lived the greater part of his life in Oelwein where he served for many years as foreman of the paint shop of the Chicago Great Western railway.
He was born at Millersburg, O., and was married to Isabella Magee of Marion, who survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Flanagan is survived by the following daughters, Mrs. Charles Ritchie of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Lafe Lindley of Marion, Mrs. P.E. Oakes of Wes[t] Lafayette, Ind., and Mrs. F.H. Jamison of Long Beach, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Wheeler of Cedar Rapids.
The body is at the Turner chapel pending final arrangements. Friends may call at the chapel.
