--August J. Ehlers died Thursday night of last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Hamann, one mile south of Marion. Mr. Ehlers was 67 years of age and was a native of Germany. His death followed an illness of several months of pneumonia. He is survived by three sons and two daughters, the sons living at Manilla and DeWitt, Iowa, and Sterling, Ill., and the other daughter living at Westside, Iowa. Rev. Deckmann of Cedar Rapids conducted the funeral services at Pingrey's under taking chapel Sunday afternoon. Burial in Oak Shade cemetery.
