Helen A. Daggett, 69, of Springville, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died of heart failure early Sunday morning in University Hospitals at Iowa City.
Born Jan. 18, 1920, at Cedar Rapids, she married Hugh Daggett Nov. 17, 1939. He died in 1974. Mrs. Daggett worked for the Cedar Rapids Community School District at Cleveland School, retiring in 1986. She also was associated with Dysart's Ice Cream and Candy for many years and was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church at Springville and Ladies Guild.
Survivors include five daughters; two sisters; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild [names of survivors omitted for privacy]
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Isidore Catholic Church, Springville, by the Rev. J.J. McBride. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday in Murdoch Chapel, Marion, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
