WILLIAM M. HAMILTON
William M. Hamilton, 85, 1405 5th Ave., Marion, a lifetime resident of Cedar Rapids-Marion area died Thursday at St. Luke's Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born April 6, 1897 in Cedar Rapids, he was married to Grace Stolba on May 16, 1921 in Marion. Mrs. Hamilton preceded him in death in March, 1967. Mr. Hamilton was the owner-operator of the Fifth Avenue Grocery for 20 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club.
Surviving are three sons, William W. Hamilton of Rock Island, Ill., John A. Hamilton of Brea, Calif., and James M. Hamilton of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Miss Hazel Hamilton of Marion; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Monday, at 3 p.m. in the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with Rev. Edwin J. Simon of the First Baptist Church of the Brethren officiating. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery....
