Obituary of Mrs. John Robinson.
Elizabeth Adams was born near Dundee, Scotland, January 19, 1841, and died at Marion August 27, 1912, thus living to nearly 72 years of age. She came to this country with her parents at the age of 12 years, locating near Elgin, Ill. In 1884 the family moved to Linn county, where they made their home until death has taken them. Elizabeth Adams was married to John Robinson March 6, 1866, at Marion, the ceremony being performed by Dr. Marshall, the man of precious memory. Those remaining are a brother of the deceased, Charles Adams of Long Beach, Cal.; two children, James and Henrietta Robinson of Marion; two grandchildren, Mary and John Gill, of Marion.
Mrs. Robinson united with the Presbyterian church of Marion, April 22, 1871. She was one of the most faithful, earnest, consistent members of the church. She was never absent, unless in cases of necessity. For many years she had been a regular attendant at Sunday school. She will be missed in all circles of the home and neighborhood and church. The services were conducted by her pastor, Dr. Ensign, from the house and the church Thursday afternoon.
