OBITUARY OF ADOLPH JOHNSON
Adolph Johnson was born in Westergotland, Sweden, March 16, 1855, and died in St. Luke's Hospital, Sept. 16, 1915. He was the youngest of a family of four children. He was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church at the age of fifteen. He was united in marriage to Miss Hulda Johnson, Feb. 20, 1884. He came to this country in December, 1888 and began work on the C.M. & St. P. railroad in the spring of 1889 and later entered the bridge and building Dept. in August the same year, where he has worked continually up to the time when he met death. He is survived by his wife and five children, Hannah, John, Alfred, August and Esther and one sister, Mrs. Christina Moberg of St. Paul, Minn., and one brother August who is in Sweden.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows order in Marion and also of the M.B.A.
He was known by every one to be an industrious man, a good provider, a kind hearted father and a true friend.
His sad death came as a severe blow to the entire community and he will be missed by many sympathizing friends who all love him.
