Mrs. Sarah Domer Obituary.
Mrs. Sarah Domer, nee Pfeiffer, was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, Nov. 29, 1852. Died near Appleton City, Mo., Jan. 21, 1914. Her parents moved to Linn County, Iowa, where she was reared, on February 26, 1871. She was united in marriage to Christian G. Domer, in Linn County, Iowa, where they lived for 22 years.
To this union were born twelve children of whom ten are living to mourn her loss. Those present at her funeral were Charles, Clara, George, Jessie and Bessie, Rev. Otto C. Domer, of Seattle, Wash. The deceased has three sisters, Mrs. G. Hoisermann, Walter, Ia., Mrs. Charles Cheadle and Mrs. William Grieshaber, Marion, Ia.
Mrs. Domer was converted in 1873 and first united with the German Evangelical church of which she was a member until moving to Missouri where she united with the M.E. church (south) at Green Valley, where she held her membership at the time of her death. Her funeral was preached at Appleton City, in the M.E. church (south) by her pastor, Rev. T.C. Puckett, in a large company of her friends who had come from far and near to pay their last respects to one beloved by all. Sarah Domer was a splendid type of Christian womanhood, resplendent with those Christian graces which adorn and beautify the human heart. Her friends were legion for all loved and respected her for her faith in God. To her sorrowing family, husband and children, we pray God's richest blessings upon them, and to all who shall miss her and shall see her face no more resolve to meet her
"Where the surges ceased to roll.
Where in all that bright forever
Sorrow never shall press the soul."
