Herman Becker Dead.
Herman Becker for many years an employe in the car department of the Milwaukee in this city and for several years secretary-treasurer of the city fire department, died in a sanatorium at Davenport last night. Mr. Becker had been in failing health for nearly a year and had to give up his position a few months ago and went to Davenport about two months ago for treatment. His wife and brother Leonard Becker were with him at death. The body will be brought to this place tonight. Mr. Becker's home was at Fifth avenue and Eighth street. He was a member of the A.F. & A.M., No. 6 of the Mystic Workers and the Fraternal Aid Union. His brother, Leonard Becker, and brother-in-law, Louis Kulish, are Marion residents. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon with detailed announcement later.
