Mrs. Elizabeth Seaton, Nov. 1st, 1893, at Golden, Ills., of paralysis.
Mrs. Elizabeth Seaton was born in Virginia, Oct. 3rd, 1803. Moved to Kentucky when 12 years old. Her maiden name was Payne. Married to Charles D. Seaton, Oct. 1824, moved to Adams county, Illinois, in 1844, where she lived until her death. Joined the Baptist church when 12 years old, and the Reformation movement in 1836, was a faithful, devoted mother, and consistent christian all her life. She was the mother of eleven children, of which J.A. Seaton, of Marion, Iowa, is the eight. Mother has gone to rest, after an industrious, faithful life. Her work is done, and well done.
