Miss Marjorie Fernow Dies; Funeral Friday
Miss Marjorie Helen Fernow, 44, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home, 1486 Seventh avenue, Marion, following a long illness.
She was born in Marion July 24, 1905, the daughter of the late Frederick and Olive Howard Fernow. Following her graduation from Marion high school in 1925, she attended Cedar Rapids Business college. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Robert Mitchell W.R.C., and the Marion Eastern Star chapter.
Surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Pearl Enck and Mrs. Margaret Dickey, both of Marion, and a brother, Howard M. Fernow of Los Angeles. Services will be conducted in the Yocom-Murdoch chapel at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. C.V.R. DeJong. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
