Henry Locke Dies; Lingering Illness
Following a lingering illness, Henry Locke, age 77, died at his home, 1052 Fourth street. Mr. Locke was born Feb. 24, 1849, in Worth, Sanalic[sic] county, Mich. He was united in marriage, March 3, 1870, to Ellen Wixon. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary six years ago. To them were born four daughters, all of whom, besides his wife, survive him: Mrs. Lura Fowler at home, Mrs. George F. Schults[sic] of Marion, Mrs. H.F. Falkenstein of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Earl Grant of Savanna, Ill. Six grandchildren, Rowland Fowler of Oxford Junction, who since babyhood has made his home there, Richard and Dorothy Schults[sic] of Marion, Vaneita Falkenstein of Cedar Rapids, and Donald and Jack Grant of Savanna, Ill.; two great-grandchildren, Betty Mae and Bonnie Jeane Fowler of Oxford Junction, also survive him.
Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. W.J. Robinson, pastor of the Baptist church in charge. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
