Kline Services Held Sunday
Funeral services for Harrison P. Kline, 82, were held Sunday at the Yocom Chapel at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. James P. Gable officiating. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. Pallbearers were H.M. Titus, John Johnson, Lee Voorhies, Frank Straley, Robert Burns and Lloyd Harrison.
Mr. Kline died Thursday at 7:15 p.m. at a Davenport, hospital. He was born August 18, 1867, at Shelbyville, Mo., the son of John F. and Catherine Heckathorne[sic] Kline. He is the last surviving child. Mr. Kline came to Linn county at the age of six months and lived at Prairieburg before moving to Marion. Two years ago he retired from the real estate business and moved to Davenport. He was married July 8, 1893 to Mina Silker. He was a member of the Marion Methodist church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Elbert, Des Moines and Alvin, Davenport; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two children died in infancy.
