Mrs. Sarah Jane Sidlinger, 96, widow of a Civil War veteran, died Sunday at her home, 501 First street, Marion, after a brief illness.
Born May 28, 1850, at Tomaqua [sic], Pa., she was married at Port Byron, Ill., to D.M. Sidlinger, who died April 5, 1915 [sic], at Sabula, Ia. She came to Marion in 1902. She was a member of the Christian Science church and of Grove Rebekah lodge.
Surviving, in addition to her son, John E. Sidlinger, who made his home with his mother, are eight grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Yocom chapel at a time to be announced later. Friends may call at the chapel.
