Services Were Held on Monday for Mrs. John E. Sidlinger

Mrs. Leota Sidlinger, wife of J.E. Sidlinger, died at her home Saturday afternoon from a heart attack. She had been ill two weeks.
Leota Maude Clemans, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clemans was born August 25, 1881[sic], at Oregon, Ill. While she was still a child the family moved to Spirit Lake. In 1898 she was married to John Sidlinger, in Cedar Rapids, where they lived, before a brief residence in Colorado. Since 191[?] the family has lived in Marion. Mrs. Sidlinger was a member of the Grove City Rebekah Lodge No. 35, the Womans Relief Corps which she served as president and the Methodist church.
She is survived by her husband and six children. One daughter, Amy Mae died at the age of twelve. Surviving children are Paul, of Cedar Rapids; John of Toledo, Ohio; Myles of Ft. Des Moines; Mrs. Jack Ratliff and Bernice Sidlinger of Marion and Mrs. George Hay of Cedar Rapids. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. H.M. Olson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Floyd Hahn of Kit Carson, Colo., and one brother, Robert Clemans of Corning, California. There are also six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Yocum chapel Monday, by the Rev. John M. Walters, pastor of the Methodist church. Miss Marguerite Sutherland and Miss Mildred Titus sang a duet, accompanied by Mrs. K.M. Saunders. Members of the lodges of which Mrs. Sidlinger was a member attended the services in a body. Honorary pallbearers were Marshall Swayne, Percy Hutton, Merle Robinson, George Burns, Harry Snell and Elmer Seevell. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
