Obituary of Milas Webb.
Milas Webb, who has been ill for some time, died Thursday night at his home, 931 Thirteenth street. Death was the result of arterio schlerosis, and for several days he was unconscious.
Milas Webb was born in Indiana, November 13, 1838. With his parents he came to Marion when thirteen years old, and had lived in this county since that time. On March 23, 1865, he was married to Sophia Bunting and they moved to a farm near Center Point, which was their home for about thirty years. Five years following were spent on a farm near Marion, and since then they have lived in the city. One son, Frank, was born to this union, and with his mother survives. Three sisters, and two brothers of the original family of twelve survive Mr. Webb. They are Misses Florence and Anna Webb of Kenwood Park, Mrs. Mandy Webb Oxley of Liberty, Mo., and John and Charles Webb. He was one of the pioneers of this county.
The funeral was held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, with the Rev. J.M. Winslow of the Baptist church in charge. Burial was at Oak Shade.
