Services Held Saturday for Mrs. J.E. Lisk
Mrs. John E. Lisk, 100 South Tenth st., passed away at her home at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, following a long illness.
Born, Tillie Guthrie, daughter of Joseph and Maria Drinkwine Guthrie on February 26, 1883 at Buck Creek, in Delaware County. She has been a resident of Marion since 1910 and was married on August 21, 1921 at Dubuque to John E. Lisk who survives. Three sisters, Mrs. Fred Srack, Mrs. Alice Duncan[sic] and Mrs. Hattie Files preceded her in death.
Memorial services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. James P. Gable. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
