Mrs. Sarah E. Canedy, 87, Dies in California
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah E. Canedy, former Marion resident, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Yocom chapel by the Rev. James P. Gable. Mrs. Canedy died Saturday in a Long Beach, Calif., hospital at the age of 87.
Her husband, Leroy, died in 1922.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Aimee Young, Belle Plaine, Thomas of Guthrie, Minn., and Charles, Long Beach; 15 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
The body will arrive in Marion Friday morning. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Friday.
