Shawn Barrett Died Aug. 21
Shawn L. Longshore Barrett, son of Clifford and Linda Longshore Barrett of 908 1/2 Fifth Ave., Marion, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the University Hospital at Iowa City.
He was born Sept. 1, 1959, at Vinton, Ia. Shawn with his parents moved to Marion in December of 1962 from Shellsburg, Ia. He was baptised[sic] at the Zion Lutheran Church of Hiawatha.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Kelly Joe Barrett at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rothenbrucher of Monmouth, Ore. and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barrett of Central City, Ia. and his great grandmother, Mrs. Albert Knight of Wapello.
Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Zion Lutheran Church at Hiawatha, conducted by Rev. Gilbert Meske and Hal Rex Longshore. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Murdoch's Funeral Home in Marion were in charge of arrangements.
