William R. McGowan, 48, a resident of Miami, Fla., for the past 15 years and formerly of Marion, died July 3, at his home.
He was born the son of Clarence L. and Edith (Ryan) McGowan on Dec. 26, 1939, at Marion.
Mr. McGowan was graduated from Marion High School in 1958.
He was a former manager of Twixt Town Drive-In Theater and the Marion Theater, and was employed by Eastern Airlines for 15 years.
Surviving are his mother, Edith McGowan of Marion; two brothers, Bernard of Robins, and Doug of Marion; two sisters, Phyllis Turner of Louisville, Ky., and Mary Manweller of Ames.
Private memorial services were held.
Arrangements were made by Murdoch Funeral home in Marion.
