Graveside services for Mary Jane Nevius of 1591 Eighth Street, were conducted by Rev. Jay A. Miller, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at Oak Shade cemetery in Marion.
Mary Jane Nevius, 55, a resident of Marion for the past 26 years, passed away at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a long illness. She was born the daughter of Thomas and Alice Hainline Jellinger on Feb. 11, 1919 at Seaton, Ill. On Oct. 23, 1941 at Monmouth, Ill., she was married to Kenneth L. Nevius. Mrs. Nevius was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Marion.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, {private}; a son, {private}, of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter {private}; three sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Evelyn) Prilipp of Alexis, Ill., Mrs. Dorothy Haysbrook of Moline, Ill. and Mrs. Nola Archer of Burlington; and a brother, Thomas Jellinger, Jr. of Ames.
