Josephine V. Reichard, 98, of 969 14th St. Marion, died Tuesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a short illness.
She had lived in Marion for 76 years. She was born Jan. 11, 1887, at Vinton and was married to George B. Reichard on Sept. 8, 1903, at Vinton. Mr. Reichard died in 1940 in Marion.
Mrs. Reichard was an 1899 graduated of Vinton High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion, the Ameigo Club, Chapter CS of the P.E.O. and Miriam Circle of the Methodist church.
Survivors include a grandson; two great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion by the Rev. Glen W. Lamb. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1:30 p.m. Thursday. A memorial fund has been established.
