Obituary.
JAMES COLE FULKERSON
Born Nov. 11, 1896, died Jan. 10, 1898. The bud of earth is plucked to bloom in heaven--plucked by the hand of God, that hand of love. Thus was little Jamie Cole, the fourteen months' old child of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Fulkerson taken last Monday evening at 7:30. From an ideal earthly home he was taken to the ideal heavenly home. He was sick about three weeks. Everything that physician's skill and father and mother's tenderest love could do for him failed to keep him here, fro God wanted this little bud to bloom in His own presence where is fullness of joy and pleasures for evermore. The only words that we can utter are: "the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." The funeral services were held at the house, Wednesday, Jan. 12, Rev. A.H. Fraser, officiating.
