Obituary of Mrs. Helen H. Weed.
Helen Hasler was born in Manitowac, Wisconsin, February 9, 1859, and died in Marion, Iowa, March 20, 1911. She came to Hampton, Iowa, with her parents in 1869, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Mr. Egbert L. Weed at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in June, 1893. She united with the Methodist church in Hampton, Iowa, when only fifteen years of age, and was active in church work while her health permitted.
Mrs. Weed was a great home woman, an everyday woman, one who attended to the duties of the home, and rendered whatever service she could to her neighbors, and to the church. Her married life was one of great happiness, and when her affliction came, she was tenderly cared fro by her husband who did all that could be done under the circumstances.
Mrs. Weed leaves her husband, Mr. Egbert L. Weed; her three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Kate Sharwatt of Randolph, Neb.; Gus Hasler, Moberly, Mo., Mrs. Henry Hanson of Oelwein, Iowa; F.A> Hasler of Hampton, Iowa; and Mrs. Annie Adams of Valley Junction, Iowa, to mourn her loss.
