DEATH COMES TO A BELOVED WOMAN

Mrs. Mary Nichols Passes Away at her Home Early Wednesday Morning
Mrs. Mary Nicholas passed away at an early hour Wednesday morning, after an illness of a week of pneumonia, at her residence, 1309 Sixth avenue, bringing sorrow to a large circle of friends.
She has been in charge of the cafeteria at the Sinclair packing plant in Cedar Rapids for about seven years.
Her home was originally at Oxford Junction and her maiden name was Mary Lacina. After coming to Marion she was married to Peter[sic] Nichols, who died eight years ago. They had one daughter who also died. Mr. and Mrs. Nichols lived for a while at Madison, Wis., but moved back to Marion again.
Mrs. Nichols is survived by her father, Bencal Lacina of Tama; four sister, Mrs. Julia Shaffer of Marshalltown, who is here; Mrs. Helen Dolezal of Tama, Mrs. Louis Johnson of Washington state, and Mrs. Anna Shedck of Canada, and three brothers John, Joseph and Frank Lacina of Tama.
