Mrs. Anna Tabor Dies After A Long Illness
Mrs. Anna Tabor, 75, resident of Marion since 1908, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 1612 B avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, following a long illness.
Born in Bohemia Oct. 4, 1867, she came to America and to Oxford Junction when 14 years old. She was married Jan. 15, 1891, to A.D. Tabor, who died in Marion Nov. 11, 1926. She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church and of Marion chapter 183, O.E.S.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Glenna Fernow, Marion; Mrs. Esther Waln, Springville; Mrs. Margaret Ford, Marshalltown; Mrs. Grace Court, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Hazel McCalley, Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bohm, Davenport; Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, Wyoming, and Mrs. Antonia Hanssen, Los Angeles; a brother, Ed Zak, Oxford Junction. Services will be held at the Yocom chapel in Marion at 2 p.m. Monday and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
