Andrew Delbert Tabor, died at his home in Marion, Thursday at 1:20 a.m. following an illness of over a year.
He was born in Wyoming, in Jones County, May 24, 1869. He was married to Anna Zak, Jan. 15, 1891. Until 1908, when they moved to what is known as the Garry Treat farm, two and one half miles south-east of Marion, they lived in Jones county. After living on the farm for ten years they moved to Marion, but remained only one yeaer. Until about six weeks ago, when they moved to Marion, they made Cedar Rapids their home.
To this union were born six daughters, all of whom survive him except, Martha, who died in infancy.
For thirty years, Mr. Tabor was a member of the Blue lodge of the Masonic Order and the Modern Woodmen of America at Oxford Junction. HE also was a member of the Consistry of Davenport and El Kahir Shrine of Cedar Rapids.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Glennie Fernow, Mrs. Esther Waln, Mrs. Margret Ford and Mrs. Hazel Barnoske, all of Marion, and Mrs. Grace Court of Independence; seven grand children; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Gardner of Chicago; and three brothers, B. Tabor of Lake Crystal, Minn., O.E. Tabor of Mapuoketa[sic] and I.R. Tabor of Davenport.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at two o'clock, at the home of his daughter, MRs. Frank Ford, 1185 Tenth street. Marion lodge, No. 6 A. . and A.M.[sic], assisted by Reverand W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Oak Shade.
