Elizabeth Snyder Services Wednesday
Elizabeth Snyder, 79, died at 3:10 a.m., in Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids last Monday following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at the Yocom chapel Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock.
Born September 5, 1867, on a farm near Shellsburg, Iowa, she was married to Leslie M. Snyder on July 26, 1893 at Shellsburg. Following her marriage she lived in Cedar Rapids until 1906 at which time she moved to Marion where she was a resident until her death.
While in Marion she was a member of ther Grove City Rebekah lodge, No. 35, and Marion chapter, No. 183, Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to the Gethsemane Shrine No. 1, the White Shrine, and the Pythian Sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary of Marion. Her husband died July 27, 1928. Her parents were Benjamin and Pauline Franklin.
Pallbearers for the funeral were H.B. Leasure, Jack Reimers, Joseph Cira and W.W. Lary. The Rev. C.V.R. DeJong, officiated.
