Mrs. Joseph Taylor Dies; 90 Years Old
Mrs. Joseph W. Taylor, 90, of 665 Fifteenth street, died Saturday at 6:25 a.m. at the Reamer nursing home after a long illness.
Born Henrietta Underwood July 25, 1854, at Eddyville, Aa., she was married there Oct. 31, 1872. The Taylors moved to Linn county about 45 years ago and to Marion in 1942 from a farm near Springville.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Springville Methodist church and of the W.S.C.S. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and three daughters: Orville E. Taylor, Cedaredge, Colo., and Fred G. Taylor, Springville; Mrs. Stella Wiley and Mrs. Maude McBride, Marion, and Mrs. Grace Reed, Independence. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Yocom chapel. The Rev. James P. Gable will officiate and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
