Dewey E. Lint, 76, of 969 Sixth Ave., and a lifelong Marion and Linn County resident, died Sunday, Aug. 17 in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was born the son of Emanual and Mary Ellen Lint Lint, on July 31, 1899 at Robins. On Dec. 20, 1923 at Marion he was married to Alice Edna Eckhart. Mr. Lint was an employee of Allis-Chalmers Company for 33 years, until retiring in 1959. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Marion, and Local 1316 U.A.W., of Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Theola) Scott of Marion; two sons, Kenneth G. Lint, Sr. of Escondido, Calif. and Douglas K. Lint of Hemet, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Lint of Marion. He was preceded in death by a son, Dewey T. Lint; four sisters and four brothers.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Charles Moore. Interment: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
